Decimals to fractions

WALT:  Matching fractions to decimals

We are learning to match fractions to decimals.

Fraction  Image of the fraction  Fraction of 100 Decimal
1/2 50/100 0.5
1/4 25/100 0.25
1/5 20/100 0.2
1/10 10/100 0.1
3/4 70/100 0.70
2/5 40/100 0.4
1/20 20/100 0.20

Today for maths we matched the fractions to decimal, although we already did a task yesterday about shapes we had to do fraction and decimals today.

Geometry Challenge

For this task I learnt the 3 dimension of a cube are height, width and length and I also learnt that if you rotate a image clockwise on google slides it will tell you how many degrees it’s turning.

What I enjoyed about this task is learning that if you rotate a image clockwise on google slides it will tell you how many degrees it’s turning.

Geometry Garden

My Geometry Garden

We are describing the different parts of our garden and what geometry features they show.

What type of symmetry do your flowers have?

In my garden my flowers have reflective symmetry and rotational symmetry

This means that both sides are the same on both sides  and if the flower rotates it will still be the same.

What type of symmetry does your butterfly have?

In my garden my butterfly has reflective symmetry

This means that if you turn it to both sides it wouldn’t change.

Pathway

What geometry feature does your pathway show?

What did you do to make sure pathway?

In my garden my pathway shows Tessellation symmetry

To make my pathway I kept repeating one shape until I could fill up the whole pathway

This means that all of the shapes of the pathway are the same

WALT: We are describing the different parts of our garden and what geometry feature they show.

Today for maths I learned about Reflective symmetry, Rotational symmetry and Tessellation symmetry and what it does. The best part was learning about Tessellation symmetry and how it’s basically teleporting the shape.
